Applus+ is a worldwide leader in the testing, inspection and certification sector. First established in 1907 for testing and research, we have been providing pioneering Non-Destructive Testing Services since 1937 and have been operating in Teesside originally as Northern NDT Services Ltd since 1986.  We are located on the Queens Meadow Business Park, Hartlepool providing easy access to our clients in the North East and supported by a network of bases throughout the UK. 

Adding value through a flexible approach, Applus+ operates across a wide range of industrial sectors, from chemical, power and aerospace, to onshore and offshore oil and gas operations.  Applus+ are also a trusted partner in the renewables and nuclear generation sectors, supporting the nuclear build program in the UK. 

As a UKAS 17020 Type A Inspection Body, Applus+ provide a wide range of conventional NDT services and we are world-renowned in the sphere of Advanced NDT.  Pioneers in the use of wide-ranging inspection techniques, we have developed our own inspection systems and state-of-the-art industrial applications.

Applus+ is an IRATA accredited rope access operator and training provider.  Our technicians have the experience and capability to work in a variety of industries, providing alternative solutions to meet our clients’ ongoing needs.

Applus+ also provide a range of other services including remote visual inspection, bespoke access solutions, fabric maintenance solutions, vendor & third party inspections, statutory inspections and expediting services.      

In addition to our accreditations and ISO certifications, Applus+ are qualified through various external supplier communities including First Point Assessment Limited (FPAL), Utilities Vendor Data-Base (UVDB) and Constructionline (Gold Member).
