Zerust UK provides corrosion protection to the offshore industry

Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI) is an issue which effects the offshore industry due to structures, pipework and equipment being exposed to aggressive environments such as salty air and high temperatures. If undetected, it can have a significant impact on safety, downtime and costs.
At Zerust, we have developed Zerust Inhibitor Fusion (ZIF) Tape based on silicone elastomers with proprietary Zerust chemistry integrated into the matrix to protect pipelines from water intrusion. It requires minimal surface preparation and is wrapped over the existing coating on the pipe, prior to the installation of the thermal insulation, metal cladding and straps. Once installed, the inhibitors are effective up to 200°C and protects the pipeline from corrosion over multiple cycles of the pipeline being heated and cooled.
Our ZIF Tape is a versatile solution and can be used to mitigate corrosion of high value machine parts, flanges on offshore platforms and pipeline scab protection.
