Wilton International, Teesside, operated by Sembcorp Industries Ltd, announced as the site of our first Willis Sustainable Fuels facility.

Our journey of innovation has taken us firmly into the future of sustainable flight with the launch of Willis Sustainable Fuels — making us one of the first commercial lessors to invest directly in the development and deliverability of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).

We are proud to confirm Wilton International, Teesside, operated by Sembcorp Industries Ltd, as the site of our intended SAF facility. With the capacity to deliver 14,000 tonnes of fuel annually and cut greenhouse gas emissions by over 80% compared to conventional jet fuel, this project underlines our focus on scalable, bankable SAF solutions.

Supported by the Department for Transport (DfT), United Kingdom's Advanced Fuels Fund and developed with world-class partners Johnson Matthey, Axens, and McDermott International, Ltd, this facility is designed for certainty — turning sustainable biomethane from waste into aviation fuel. From the start, our mission has been to make decisions to ensure deliverability. This has meant choosing existing technology, partnering with top-tier experts, and minimizing risk.
