Tree-mendous! SQS Plants Trees & Helps Veterans

SQS, a UK based SME, specialising in vendor assessments, inspection & expediting services has planted 30 trees in partnership with Rewards.Earth and the Green Task Force to provide ‘green therapy’ for military veterans.

The Green Task Force is a unique charity that provides a pathway to employment for veterans and service leavers, through a range of nature-based therapies, and was established to solve a number of prominent issues surrounding both the environment and our veterans.

The tree-mendous event took place at the charities headquarters in Hull, where SQS MD, Lisa Roberts, donned gloves and spade to plant 30 trees with like minded colleagues and veterans from the Green Task Force. The trees will provide a source of therapy to veterans for years to come, and each tree planted will offset 0.7 tonnes of CO2 through its lifetime.

Lisa Roberts, MD at SQS commented; As a company we’re delighted to say that we are carbon neutral, but we are always striving to do more. More for our clients and more for the environment, so when the opportunity arose to plant trees and support veterans, we couldn’t say no. The Green task Force is an amazing charity that we look forward to doing more ventures with.

This initiative was developed in partnership with Rewards.Earth, a charity that provides trees to the Green Task Force by creating tailored rewards programmes for businesses and consumers that also helps them achieve sustainability targets and live carbon neutral lifestyles.

SQS is a UK based company with headquarters in Stockport, Manchester.
