Steel River Quay on the Next Phase of UK Offshore Wind

As the UK celebrates 25 years of offshore wind, Steel River Quay is uniquely positioned at the heart of the country’s offshore supply chain.

Managing Director, Ally Cameron, has insight into how the sector has evolved and what’s needed for the UK to remain a global leader:

Ally says: "Twenty-five years on from the UK’s first offshore turbines generating clean power, the challenge isn’t ambition - it’s capacity. If the UK wants to stay a global leader in offshore wind, we need modern ports capable of handling the next generation of larger, heavier components. Facilities like Steel River Quay are now the backbone of that, providing the heavy-lift capability, marshalling space and modern logistics infrastructure that make large-scale offshore projects possible in the first place."

He would be happy to provide interviews or additional comment for any articles covering offshore wind, renewable infrastructure or the UK’s energy transition.
