Speedy Hire Invest in 25,000 Hilti Assets Under New Five-Year Agreement

Speedy Hire, one of the UK's leading providers of tools, equipment and plant hire services, has made a multi-million-pound investment in new Hilti technology, acquiring 25,000 assets as part of a new rolling five-year agreement.

One of the largest tool technology investments in the company's recent history, the agreement reinforces Speedy Hire's commitment to delivering innovative, sustainable and productive solutions for customers across the construction, infrastructure, industrial and facilities management sectors.

The deal covers a vast array of Hilti’s tool portfolio with over 60 product lines now an integral part of Speedy Hire’s fleet.

Included in the investment is Hilti's Nuron cordless platform, which gives Speedy Hire customers access to the advanced 22 volt single-platform battery-powered technology which allows operators to switch batteries seamlessly between tools, reduce downtime and simplify fleet management.

Operating through Hilti’s Fleet Management programme, the manufacturer will be responsible for all service and repairs through its dedicated Hilti GB Repair Centre in Glasgow.

By having an OEM carry out all repairs within agreed timescales, Speedy Hire will be able to achieve maximum utilisation while tools and batteries are continually delivering peak performance.

George Foster-Jones, Group Commercial Director at Speedy Hire, said: "This investment reflects our commitment to providing customers with the latest technology to support both productivity and sustainability goals.

“Through our investment in Hilti's latest products, including its Nuron platform, customers will benefit from improved performance, enhanced operational efficiency and valuable fleet insights. The agreement strengthens our commitment to delivering an industry-leading hire experience and supporting customers with smarter, lower-emission ways of working."

Stewart Dowling, National Sales Director at Hilti, said: "This is a landmark agreement with Speedy Hire, who now operate one of the most advanced small tools fleet in the hire industry. Through Hilti Fleet Management we aim to reduce Speedy Hire's operational costs while together delivering a superior customer experience to end users.

“Speedy Hire has a strong footprint with major contractors operating on large projects as well as great market penetration in key market segments. Coupled with our joint commitment to health and safety, circularity and sustainability, we are in a position to make a hugely positive difference to all customers.”

The investment forms part of Speedy Hire's ongoing commitment to supporting customers' sustainability ambitions through lower-emission equipment solutions, innovative technologies and more efficient ways of working. Through its partnership with Hilti, Speedy Hire continues to strengthen its position at the forefront of equipment innovation, providing customers with the tools, data and insights they need to work safer, smarter and more sustainably.
