Peter Howe Joins Evides Industriewater UK
Posted on 23 January 2026
With 20 years of industry experience, practical laboratory expertise, project and process
development skills, Peter Howe brings in-depth knowledge of environmental permitting, waste
management, and regulatory compliance to the Evides Industriewater UK team.
Evides Industriewater UK is delighted to welcome Peter as Environmental Permitting Lead. This
role extends far beyond securing environmental permits, consents, and ensuring accreditation
and compliance. At Evides, environmental stewardship is central to everything we do.
Water re-use in the UK is not yet an accepted practice, but this has to change. Access to cheap
water for industrial processes is at risk. Climate change is aƯecting the refi lling of reservoirs, and
priority access to this water is given to the public.
Banks, investors, and developers continue to drive industrial growth. While global legislation sets
baseline rules, it is often local legislation that presents the greatest challenges, particularly
where the protection of the UK’s unique habitats is concerned.
Evides is actively developing innovative industrial projects in areas where legislation has yet to be
fully defi ned. This is no longer an era where factories can be built without regard for environmental
impact. Emerging sectors such as sustainable aviation fuels, carbon capture, and green energy
demand future-proofed solutions that account for environmental and societal responsibilities
from the outset.
Peter’s expertise in environmental regulation and compliance will be critical as Evides advances
these new projects. By examining the science behind emerging technologies and anticipating
future regulatory requirements, Peter will help ensure that Evides remains ahead of increasing
standards. Working collaboratively across departments and with end users, Peter will defi ne the
evidence, boundaries, and processes needed to demonstrate environmental responsibility
repeatedly and convincingly.
Industry standards continue to rise, and Evides is proactively anticipating future regulatory
expectations in order not only to meet them, but to exceed them. This is a long-term commitment.
Developing pilot plants, conducting studies, and generating robust data to validate
environmental models takes time. Evides acknowledges and understands that failing to consider
environmental impact from the outset will risk confl ict with future regulatory barriers, costly
retrofi ts, and delayed progress.
Evides’ projects are ground-breaking in science, technology, and process innovation, and we are
still at an early stage. That is precisely why Peter’s role is so vital now. While we cannot know
exactly what legislation will look like in fi ve, ten-, or twenty-years’ time, we can anticipate it - and
perhaps even help shape it.
