ORE Catapult - Floating Offshore Wind Centre of Excellence launches an Expressions of Interest process

The Floating Offshore Wind Centre of Excellence (FOW CoE) runs a range of strategic programmes, alongside its core work programme.

In FY22/23 the FOW CoE is launching a number of targeted strategic programmes. These targeted programmes have been developed as large-scale, longer-term programmes which will deliver significant medium-term (2-5 years) impact in specific high priority areas.

The strategic programmes for FY22/23 are:

• Mooring and Anchoring
• Dynamic Cable Systems
• Environmental Interaction

Technology Development and Qualification Programmes

These programmes are intended to accelerate the development and qualification of critical floating offshore wind technologies, and in turn reduce the cost and risk associated with deploying these technologies as part of the first large scale floating offshore wind projects.
