Mactech Energy Group Reaches Major Workforce Milestone with 2,000 Workers Delivered to Hinkley Point C

Mactech Energy Group has successfully deployed 2,000 workers to Hinkley Point C, marking a major contribution to the delivery of the UK’s first new nuclear power station in a generation.

Reaching the milestone of 2,000 workers deployed to Hinkley Point C is a proud moment for everyone at Mactech. It reflects the enormous scale of this landmark project and our long-term commitment to developing and mobilising a highly skilled UK workforce capable of delivering the country’s most complex and regulated infrastructure. We’re proud to be playing our part in securing the UK’s low-carbon energy future.

As one of Europe’s largest low-carbon infrastructure projects, Hinkley Point C requires a technically advanced and highly regulated workforce. Since 2017, Mactech has supported the project by supplying skilled personnel across critical scopes including welding, mechanical installation, high-pressure pipework, lifting operations, construction support and specialist nuclear roles. Over 99% of these workers have been sourced from within the UK, directly supporting domestic jobs, skills development and long-term workforce capability.
