Last chance to scoop top roles at SeAH Wind's offshore facility

Time is running out for local people to secure management roles at SeAH Wind’s mammoth monopile production facility, currently under construction at Teesworks.

The firm is seeking a Production Manager to maintain and improve manufacturing methods and systems at the factory, plus a HSE Manager to set up the policies procedures and systems relating to health, safety and environment at the plant.

Candidates are being urged to apply now as these roles, alongside that of a Planning Manager for the facility’s construction, will close on Friday, 30 September.

Further vacancies up for grabs include a Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manager, as well as a Supervisor and Engineer, all to be involved in the engineering of the plant during its construction phase. These will close to applications on 21 October.

The jobs call came the day after it was announced contracts had been finalised that would see sustainable energy company Ørsted become SeAH Wind Ltd’s first Teesside customer for the Hornsea 3 offshore wind farm. The deal represents the single largest offshore wind foundations contract secured by any UK company.

SeAH Wind’s £400million, 1.13million sq ft factory will be the biggest of its kind in the world when complete, creating 750 direct jobs and supporting 1,500 more during its build and in the supply chain.

Tees Valley Mayor Ben Houchen said: “In less than three months since we broke ground on SeAH Wind’s facility at Teesworks, we’ve seen a raft of good-quality, well-paid jobs advertised – both to help make the facility a reality and when it’s up and running.

“These are fantastic opportunities for local people to be at the cutting edge of the cleaner, healthier and safer industries of the future and to be involved with a project that will help redefine our region’s future.

“My call is coming hot on the heels of the fantastic news that the facility is just weeks into construction but has already agreed its first supply contract. This phenomenal support only shows our local workforce that by securing a job at SeaH, they’ll be able to enjoy a great career for years to come.”
