Heat Exchange Group was formed as a result of the merger of boiler equipment and services company Green’s and heat exchange specialist Thornhill. With multiple UK sites offering in-house design, fabrication, testing, repair and refurbishment complemented by on-site inspections, repairs and installation, the combined group offers one of the UK’s widest ranges of services available from one supplier.
Green’s specialises in designing, manufacturing and supplying support services for boilers and ancillary equipment. Established in 1821, Green’s has its UK headquarters and an 8,500 sq m factory in Wakefield, West Yorkshire and agents in Africa, Australia, Bangladesh, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Greece, India, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea, Middle East, Mexico, Pakistan, Spain, Turkey, UK and Vietnam. By using specialist equipment and the latest waste heat recovery technology produced by Green’s, energy from waste, biomass, industrial, energy and marine companies reduce emissions, improve efficiency and save money.
Established in 1988, Thornhill is one of the leading UK and worldwide supplier of heat exchange products and support services. It is one of the few UK providers of the complete cycle of heat exchanger services from design and engineering, to manufacture, installation, after sales care, and repairs and servicing.
Green’s managing director Matthew Crewe says: “We see the opportunity to bring Thornhill’s tried and tested heat exchanger technology and services to our customers in the UK and overseas as a great addition to our existing product range.”
Thornhill’s managing director Simon Tin says: “We work in the same industries as Green’s so to be able to offer our current and prospective customers a broader range of products and services will add significantly to the value we can provide.”
