Cross Industry learning with the NDA and innovation at Dounreay – 11/10/2022

The NIA together with the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority and Decom North Sea will be holding a cross industry learning event at TECA in Aberdeen on Tuesday 11 October.

The event is a great opportunity to find out what the NDA are doing around Cross Industry learning and also hear from other industries on this subject.

We will also be joined by Dounreay to hear more about the innovative work happening there.

There is the opportunity for attendees to also visit the National Decommissioning Centre (NDC) which is located close by.  The tour will consist of an introduction to the NDC by the Director, Professor Richard Neilson to find out about the NDC current project portfolio and industry partnerships followed by a guided tour of the NDC state-of-the-art facilities (https://www.ukndc.com/research/facilities/ndc-facilities/) including a demonstration of the NDC’s Marine Simulator. The tour should last around 90 minutes.

The day prior to the event we will hold a pay-your-own way dinner at Café Andaluz at a cost of £49PP (3 course meal, ½ bottle of wine + service charge). Details on payment will be circulated in due course.
