[British Embassy Seoul - Free Webinar ] South Korea Offshore Wind Market Overview Webinar 2023: Tue 16 May 2023

The Department for Business Trade (DBT) Seoul is organising a webinar on the South Korea Offshore Wind Market.  The South Korean government has set a target of 14.3GW of offshore wind by 2030, with over 25 projects already in development.  UK and European developers are amongst those investing heavily in the country.

The webinar will include a market update followed by Corio Generation and Shell sharing details about the projects they are developing in South Korea.

The market update will be presented by Dr Jone Oh, CEO of Blue Wind Engineering, an experienced offshore wind consultant who has been working with the DBT team in Seoul for the last 6 years. He will explain the current status of the market and the opportunities for UK businesses.   

Corio Generation intends to build a 2.6GW offshore wind portfolio comprised of five projects. Corio Generation and Shell have each committed to building 1.5GW and 1.4GW of floating offshore wind in Ulsan, respectively.  Both Corio and Shell will introduce their projects as part of the Webinar.
