Why attend?

The successful North-East Combined Authority funded supply chain acceleration and technology demonstration programme tailored to North-East offshore wind innovators; TIGGOR (Technology Innovation and Green Growth for Offshore Renewables) came to a conclusion in March 2026.

Since 2020 the TIGGOR programme has distributed £4.2m of R&D grant funding to 17 unique projects in the North-East of England enabling £7.6m of R&D activity, creating and safeguarding jobs and introducing new technologies to the regions offshore wind supply chain offering. The programme has also supported 88 unique businesses in the region with technical and business support, enabling advancements in technological and commercial readiness of offshore renewable innovations and services.

The first half of this webinar will share the successes of the 6 year programme, covering updates from the programme team at the Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult covering how the programme of support was structured, achievements and case studies followed by discussions from programme alumni, Kinewell and industry sponsor, Equinor.

The second half of the webinar will focus on upcoming support for innovative businesses engaging the offshore renewable energy sector with presentations from the Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult, the North-East Combined Authority and Industry. Technology, Innovation and Green Growth for Offshore Renewables (TIGGOR) was a supply chain acceleration and technology demonstration programme funded by the North-East Combined Authority and delivered by the Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult supported by industry partners EDF Power Solutions and Equinor.

The TIGGOR programme ran from 2020-2026 and was designed to boost productivity, innovation and growth in the North of Tyne and Wider North-East regions offshore wind and subsea sectors. This was achieved through the provision of R&D grant funding and direct support to businesses operating in and transitioning to the sector. The programme success was measured on regional impact metrics including jobs created and safeguarded, businesses supported and number of new products to market.
