This workshop is part of 'People 2023 - The Series' in partnership with Northumbria University.

Following our in-person conference which kicks off the series on 27th March, we are running a number of of online ‘lunch and learn’ and ‘breakfast bite’ workshop sessions with thought leaders from across the North East. These cover a wide range of People topics including; mental health, wellness at work, menopause, return to work, equality & diversity, neuro diversity, occupational psychology and much, much more!

Mindful Leadership - Led by Alan Ross

Alan Ross is a highly experienced leadership coach who set up ARK Associates www.arkassociates.com in 1994 after a career at Board level in large FMCG companies including Nabisco and Heineken. His style is to encourage leaders to think through, then decide appropriate strategies on, their key business and personal development issues.

Mindfulness has moved from the fringes into the mainstream of corporate wellbeing in recent years. One particular area of growth is the concept of the Mindful Leader, which is the subject of this hour-long session. What will we cover?

· How mindfulness training can help busy leaders: to stay calm and focused; to develop effective relationships with stakeholders; to think deeply and creatively.

· How to build short, simple practices into a daily schedule

· What the latest research says about mindfulness and leadership

· Which organisations are already on this journey and what they are saying

· Where to look for more resources
