ODE team supports 400MW Korean offshore wind farm

Partnership with HanmiGlobal awarded the contract for owner’s engineer at the unnamed project

Offshore Design Engineering (ODE) in partnership with South Korean project management company HanmiGlobal have been awarded the contract for owner’s engineer for a 400MW offshore wind farm in South Korea by an unnamed client.

ODE and HanmiGlobal are partnering for owner’s engineer services for the first time and will be executing a range of scopes, including the provision of project management and technical support services and the management of turbine suppliers and design contracts.

The undisclosed project will benefit from the collective experience of ODE and HanmiGlobal, which together have operated for over 20 years in the offshore wind industry and on energy infrastructure projects in Korea.

ODE Korea country manager Jinho Paik said: “We are looking forward to collaborating with HanmiGlobal across this project.

“Their engineering and project management expertise will complement the offshore wind competency that ODE has developed both in Korea and the wider Asia-Pacific market.”

An unnamed HanmiGlobal offcial said: “This partnership will see HanmiGlobal and ODE combining their core strengths to deliver to our clients.

“We anticipate that this contract award will lead the way to further opportunities as the Korean offshore wind sector grows at a rapid pace.”
