Before the pandemic, workplace burnout was recognised by the World Health Organisation as an occupational phenomenon. 745,000 deaths were attributed to overwork across the globe – a 29% increase from 2000 to 2016.
Since March 2020, the wide ranging effects of the pandemic and impact on mental health has led to significant increases in reports of depression and anxiety. This leaves many organisations considering, ‘are we doing enough to support wellbeing and mental health in the workplace?’

Kevin is a Mental Health First Aider and leads on Home Group’s wellbeing initiatives and is keen to share the Home Group experience.
