NOF member Safinah Group is pleased to announce that it has recently been granted Fit 4 Offshore Renewable (F4OR) status as part of the ORE Catapult’s scheme.
F4OR is a service provided to help the UK supply chain get ready to bid for work in the offshore renewable energy (ORE) sector.
“The journey we have been on through the F4OR program has really helped us to focus on the importance of this sector to Safinah's business going forward” said Andy Hopkinson, CEO of Safinah Group based in Gateshead and Norwich, UK.
“In recent years we have seen an increase in the number of opportunities and contracts we have been engaged with in this area of the market. The fact that several of these have been in our core area of failure analysis of coating systems and expert witness work shows that there is still much to improve in the way that the ORE sector manages coatings and coating activities. We were extremely impressed with the way the F4OR scheme engaged with us via their dedicated team, who have been instrumental in helping us improve our plans, offer, and capabilities in this market”.
Safinah Group assists ORE customers reduce the cost of offshore wind energy projects by optimising coating related activities throughout the asset life cycle, and helping them avoid unnecessary costs, use of consumables, or emissions. Additionally, Safinah Group helps clients optimise their coating choices which improves safety by minimizing offshore intervention.
