Latin American nations have set ambitious targets to lower CO2 emissions and transition to a sustainable energy matrix. They are aggressively pursuing options to decarbonise the production of oil and gas via CCUS and the integration of clean technologies. An abundance of natural resources on the continent also present significant opportunities to produce green hydrogen via offshore and onshore wind, solar, wave and tidal energy with many national strategies already established.
