Great Yarmouth business provides vehicle to local Ambulance Services

One of Europe’s leading manufacturers and distributors of personal protection equipment to the offshore and renewable energy sectors – Great Yarmouth based Gibb Group – has provided its local ambulance service with a valuable boost by providing it with a vehicle for its First Responders Team.

Gibb Group -part of the Clarkson PLC and with a global footprint operating out of 20+ countries – has loaned the vehicle to the East of England Ambulance Service for use by its team of First Responders operating out of the Ambulance Station in Gorleston.

From this base the team attends medical emergencies across the Waveney area 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Presenting the vehicle to the East of England Ambulance Service’s Community Response Manager Andrew Barlow, Terry Simmons, Director of Gibb Group said: “Gibb Group - and our parent company, Clarksons PLC - has always had an active CSR policy whereby we look to actively support our local communities in as many ways as we can.

“When we heard the First Responder Team was looking for a way to make themselves more mobile and available to the local community, we very quickly made the decision that we wanted to help them find a solution.

“Loaning the vehicle to the service and seeing that it has already made such a big difference in such a very short space of time is hugely satisfying and rewarding for us as a business.  We’re very proud to be able to help the community and local services in this way and very much look forward to building an ongoing relationship and continuing to support the East of England Ambulance Service in any way we can.”

Gibb Group is one of Europe’s leading suppliers providing vital personal protection clothing and equipment to some of the world’s largest offshore windfarms and oil & gas projects for over 70 years. The company has offices in East Anglia, Aberdeen, the North- East and the Netherlands.
