Contract to fabricate two temporary steel structures for installation of pin piles at 450MW offshore wind farm
Saipem has awarded Texo Engineering and Fabrication a multi-million-pound contract to deliver two temporary steel structures for the 450MW Neart na Gaoithe offshore wind farm off Scotland.
The structures will be used assist with the installation of the pin-piles at all locations across the project site.
Texo will fabricate the units at its facilities in Blyth and Dundee.
Texo Engineering and Fabrication director Donny Marshall said: “Texo has been actively working in the renewables sector for some time.
“This large contract award will be the springboard to establishing TEXO as a major supplier into this market.”
NnG is being developed by EDF and ESB and will be located about 15km off the east coast of Scotland.
