Flexitallic, the global specialist manufacturer and supplier of sealing products and services, has delivered its largest ever Flexpro™ gasket to be used in the development of a propane dehydrogenation (PDH) plant in the United States.
The gasket, with a diameter in excess of five metres, is faced with Thermiculite®, a material exclusive to Flexitallic. Thermiculite® material possesses outstanding heat and chemical resistance and is rated to withstand temperatures up to 1,000°C. The versatile fire safe gasket material also eradicates graphite oxidation, which limits seal life, and is highly effective in maintaining joint integrity in the most demanding of environments.
Manufactured at its UK production facility in Cleckheaton, West Yorkshire, Flexpro™ gaskets are available in several styles and can be manufactured to recognise international standards or to suit bespoke connections.
Phil Kelshaw, Sales Director for the Eastern Hemisphere for Flexitallic UK, said: “The design and production of this gasket is an example of Flexitallic’s ability to meet the industry’s exacting requirements.
“Flexitallic is a global market leader at the forefront of developing specialist sealing solutions for industries across the globe and this order showcases our capabilities.
“This Flexpro™ gasket is a further example of Flexitallic’s investment in research and product development to ensure that its technology can be applied effectively across multiple industry sectors in a broad range of sizes.”
