MTE Secures New Contract with Saipem

MTE is pleased to have secured a new contract with Saipem to deliver safety solutions to BP’s Greater Tortue FLNG project, offshore Mauritania.

The scope of the contract includes the engineering, fabrication and delivery of stainless-steel Heat Shields systems, with fabrication taking place in MTK’s facility.

The Greater Tortue gas field is located off the coast of Mauritania and Senegal, along the maritime border, and located at a water depth of 2,850m in the Greater Tortue Complex. The project is estimated to contain more than 25 trillion cubic feet of gas with first production anticipated by 2022.

MTE’s Heat Shield systems will provide protection to personnel and equipment against the effects of radiant heat flux from flare and solar radiations and adverse environmental conditions.
