HGF continues to expand across Europe with the arrival of a new French Partner Vivien Verbrugge.

HGF are pleased to announce the arrival of Vivien Verbrugge who joins HGF as a Partner on 17th February 2021.

Vivien joins our Engineering team and brings extensive business experience in different industries including Glass Manufacturing, Automotive, Construction, Electronics and Telecommunications. His practice covers a wide range of mechanical, electronics, optoelectronics and telecommunications fields.

Vivien’s appointment forms the next phase of HGF’s ambitious growth strategy across Europe and follows another successful year. HGF was named by The Financial Times as one of Europe’s leading Patent Law Firms in 2020.

Vivien’s wealth of experience as an in-house attorney, advising at Management and Board level within global companies in multiple jurisdictions, makes him well placed to advise in-house IP and Legal Counsel in relation to IP opportunities and threats for both SMEs and multinationals.  Vivien regularly advises clients on portfolio creation, infringement avoidance and freedom to commercialise, portfolio enforcement and dispute resolution matters. Vivien has also advised on multi-jurisdiction portfolio acquisitions, secured successful outcomes in EPO oppositions and coordinated many IP litigations.
