MTE Wins Contract With COSCO

MTE is pleased to announce that we recently secured a new contract with COSCO to supply our safety solutions to the Arctic LNG 2 project in Russia.

We have been contracted to design and supply our high integrity fire and blast wall panel solutions in both Stainless and Carbon steel options. We have also been requested to offer installation support to train and assist COSCO in the complete installation of the products on site.

The ALNG 2 project, a major liquefied natural gas (LNG) development includes the construction of three offshore LNG Gravity Base Structures (GBS) which are located at the Gydan Peninsula in the Western Siberian region of the Russian Arctic Circle. Each of the three GBS trains is expected to have a capacity of 6.6 Mtpa and is expected to export its first LNG cargo by 2023.

We have won this additional scope for the Arctic LNG 2 project following the previous multi-million dollar contract awarded late last year via Bomesc Offshore Engineering Company Limited for the design, manufacture and supply of similar high integrity Fire and Blast rated wall solutions.

We are pleased to be delivering our safety solutions to this major project with a 40 year design life cycle that will provide high standards of fire and blast protection in extreme harsh Arctic sub-zero conditions with minimal operational maintenance requirements.
