Newcastle College University Centre currently has an exciting opportunity for employers within the Digital Technologies and Engineering industries to engage in a unique internship project.
We are currently looking for employers who would like the opportunity to select and employ a Newcastle College University Centre graduate to work as a part-funded intern within their organisation for a 12-month period commencing July / August 2020.
Newcastle College University Centre will make a £10,000 contribution towards the intern’s salary for the 12-month internship. In exchange Newcastle College will require the intern to provide 10 days of support to Newcastle College University Centre to disseminate work experience to current students and support project research activities (one day per month over 10 months).
Strong and effective collaboration between education providers and local industry is required to address the identified skills gap in the North East. This project aims to implement strategic engagement in order to develop curriculum content, programmes of study & information, advice and guidance (IAG) to ensure NORTH EAST Graduates CAN ACCESS higher level employment in their home locality & contribute to regional industry and economy.
This event is aimed at local Employers from Engineering Industries within the North East who are potentially interested in taking on an engineering graduate intern for a year.
The students will be Graduating in June 2020 in the following disciplines.
BEng (Hons) Electrical Electronic Engineering
BEng (Hons) Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering
BSc (Hons) Engineering Management
This is your chance to access the latest engineering graduates, meet with them, discuss their projects and identify talent fit for your business. You will also hear from employers and employees of the stay & succeed programme and our keynote speaker Mr Andrew Hodgson from North East Local Enterprise Partnership.
