We will be welcoming David Millar, Director, at the Oil and Gas Technology Accelerator to talk about the TechX Accelerator Scheme. The scheme aims to support start-ups with potentially game changing technologies for the energy sector.

TechX is a unique proposition – providing expertise and support both as a technology accelerator and incubator for start-ups, spin-outs and SMEs looking to enter the oil and gas industry.

The accelerator is investing in and supporting start-ups with potentially game-changing technologies for the UK energy sector. Over the next 10 years their goal is to help unlock the full potential of the UK continental shelf (UKCS) as well as support an accelerated transition to a low carbon future.  They want to help exciting companies get their new solutions and ideas to market – faster.

At the different stages of the innovation journey, TechX offers access to experienced business mentors, co-working space, forward thinking business partners, rapid prototyping, test facilities, field trials, and showcase events to help commercialise new technologies.

David will give a briefing about the scheme which will be followed by hearing from spin-outs from previous cohorts supported by the scheme (12-1pm). Lunch will be provided followed by the opportunity to book a 10 minute 1-1 session to discuss your research/start up idea.
