Continued growth leads to new appointments

High Voltage Project Managers Appointed…

C&P’s High Voltage Division has announced the appointment of  Project Managers, Huw Crocombe and Craig Hooper, during a time of unprecedented growth and success for the company.

Huw Crocombe joins C&P’s high voltage division with almost 40 years’ experience working in the utilities industry. Huw has a solid electrical power engineering experience with technical and management skills relating to the management of operations, design and management of project construction of electrical infrastructure. Huw has held key posts at South Wales Electricity, Hyder Utilities, United Utilities as well as one of the leading Independent Distribution Network Operators in the UK.

Having held posts of Senior Authorised Person and Control Engineer in the local DNO, Huw has transferred these skills to the multi-utility contestable connections market, to develop experience in regulated gas and water networks.  Huw’s key expertise is in the Contestable Connections market where he has had extensive experience working with all the electricity DNO’s across the UK for industrial and commercial connections at all voltages. Huw has also worked on such prestigious projects as Baglan Energy Park, Hinckley Point, and the development of several wind, solar renewable energy projects as well as battery and gas generation schemes.

Craig Hooper brings with him over 30 years’ of High Voltage experience and has held engineering positions in companies such as British Steel (Ebbw Vale) and during the past 17 years at ABP (Associated British Ports) where he was the Senior Electrical Engineer.

Craig’s experience ranges from SAP authority to leading a skilled HV engineering team and during his time at ABP he was responsible for delivering operation and maintenance and specifying/managing project work on the high voltage network.
