NOF is excited to be hosting a networking lunch with AWE, in partnership with Make UK.

AWE’s mission is to support the defence and security of the United Kingdom (UK). They do this through developing, manufacturing and maintaining the warheads for the UK’s nuclear deterrent, as well as providing their unique skills and expertise to support nuclear threat reduction.

The scope of AWE’s supply chain opportunities over the coming decades will be very wide and diverse covering infrastructure (across all stages of the lifecycle), support to operations, materials development, process development, high-precision equipment design and manufacture, test and evaluation, qualification, manufacture of tooling, equipment and components, etc.

This event is ideal for companies who are keen to learn about the UK Stockpile Programmes and its underpinning investments in infrastructure, skills, and enabling capabilities.

For those who wish to, AWE will be holding roundtable discussions in the afternoon and would be delighted to speak with you.

Dr Rob Wilson, Head of Market Development for AWE, will share insights into future roles for the industry to support its mission.

Since leading the MOD analysis for the 2006 Deterrent White Paper, Rob has enjoyed two decades within the Deterrent programme, including roles with MOD, BAE Systems and AWE.
